How to sync our devices’ screen to Fangle M1 with Splashtop

Fangle M1 is one of very portable smartprojectors that is developed by Focalmax. This small projector is portable and compact with leather texture, and built-in with Android OS. Besides, it is also designed with a built-in battery that is very useful for us to use anywhere we want. It is almost like an Android phone that has a special screen. We can copy or transfer our documents into Fangle M1 to project, but we also can sync our devices’ screen to Fangle M1 if we want, since this mobile projector is able to connect with Wi-Fi (and Bluetooth).

There are lots of applications out there that can help us do this, and in the last article we also talk about MirrorOp. However, Splashtop might be a better choice for some people. Then, let’s see how we can use this software to sync the screen from our devices to the small and cute projector – Fangle M1.

1.       Get Splashtop on Laptop

Once we open www.splashtop.com, we will find that this company provides various types of software that help us remote our devices. They have both paid and un-paid services for all business, organizations and even individuals.

Most of services they provide for business/organizations requires some fees, while they also have free Splashtop for individuals on the local network - and here we will talk about this. If we want to use Splashtop from anywhere across the internet, we will have to subscribe Anywhere Access Pack for $16.99 per year – a very cheap price for everyone of us.

In their website, now we jump to “Download” section and choose “Personal” sector.

Here we will have a list of software for our devices. For example, now we want to sync our Laptop’s screen to Fangle M1, and the Laptop is operating with Windows , then we will select “Windows XP, 7,8, 10” in the list to download. After downloading and installing Splashtop Personal on our laptop, we will notice that we still have to download Splashtop Streamer on the laptop. Just download and install Windows version as we can see in the above.

Now we have Splashtop Personal and Splashtop Streamer on our laptop. The next step is to register an account for our Splashtop.

We can register an account right on the Splashtop homepage by clicking “Login”, and then choose Create Splashtop Account. We just register as we do with any other online account. It is really easy.

2.       Get Splashtop on Fangle M1

Simply, we can open our Play Store on Fangle M1 and then search “Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop” and then install it right on our portable projector.

Another way, we can go to this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.splashtop.remote.pad.v2 to find the app we want for our device. Copy this link and go to a get-apk-file site, such as this site: https://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/, then paste the above link and hit “Generate Download Link”. Wait for a second, we will see a link to download under “Generate Download Link”. Hit it and download the APK file, copy to usb to transfer to our Fangle M1. Then now, we just install it as we install any Android app with its APK file.

3.       Sync the screen

Firtly, open Splashtop Personal on our laptop and login with the account we registered. Now, Splashtop will send to the email (we use to registered the account) a link to authenticate the laptop. Open the email and hit the link they give to us. If you don’t find it in “Inbox”, just check “Junk Email” section.

After authencicating the device, we open Splashtop Streamer that we can find in the taskbar – It is here right after we installed it.

Open Splashtop Streamer and use our Splashtop account to login.

Now we open Splashtop on Fangle M1, and also login with the account we have. After that, we will see a list of the device we already authenticated with our account. Choose the laptop name we have here, and then choose “Remote Desktop” – the first one.

Then now we can enjoy the result!

It is very great to use Splashtop to sync the laptop/PC’s screen to Fangle M1, and we also can do the same with other devices that Splashtop supports.

Hope this can help and don’t forget to let us know your opinions.
